Vietnam has secured the 6th position in the global top 10 countries with the largest container throughput, reaching 23.4 million TEUs.
Notably, Vietnam recorded an impressive 16% growth rate – the highest among the top 10 – signaling the potential for an even higher ranking in the near future. This achievement underscores Vietnam’s increasingly vital role in the global supply chain.
On another note, three major Vietnamese ports have also made their mark on the global stage:
- Ho Chi Minh City Port – 9.2 million TEUs (Ranked 22nd)
- Hai Phong Port – 7.2 million TEUs (Ranked 30th)
- Cai Mep Port – 7.1 million TEUs (Ranked 31st)
Together, they proudly stand among the world’s top 50 container ports, further strengthening Vietnam’s position as a key logistics hub in Asia.
